My work is in connection with colour and texture inspired by nature. The ocean, mountains, rivers, rocks, tree bark, earth and clouds to mention a few of my favourite parts. In contrast I also get inspired by weathered textures within the city terrain. Whereas the way I paint or draw alongside my practices is fundamentally intuitive. I believe in the saying, that sometimes the realest things are the once we cant see. I stop thinking and try to harness whatever that is.

My process is combining reclaimed textiles, fabrics, vintage paper, reclaimed paper and other weathered and time-worn materials to create patchworks/collages. In the next phase I then paint on the layers with acrylic paint, pastel stick or charcoal. I also have paintings where I paint directly on to the canvas or paper.

Mixed Media/Painting Work -

Drawings -

Drawing is reimagination & harnessing what the eye can’t see. My drawings and sketches are mostly abstract in nature.

philosophy-

-Colours as connection to the land.

-Language in the act of painting and viewing of art.

-Drawing, the connection to the world, the universe and beyond.
